The British Academy of Songwriters Composers and Authors (BASCA) Trust is an independent charity established in 2000. The Trust was created by BASCA, the professional association for the UK’s music creators.

The objects of the Trust are to advance the education of the general public in music and associated subjects in particular by:

  1. The provision of educational and training services in respect of composition and songwriting;
  2. The provision of scholarships awards or grants to such persons and/or pupils who are talented, deserving and are in need of financial assistance by reason of their families’ financial circumstances or their own impecuniosity.

Our work focuses on three programme areas: Talk, Teach, and Transform.

The BASCA Trust is a charity focused on engaging and teaching people about songwriting and composing and providing grants to songwriters and composers.
